    COLSA Corporation is seeking a full-time HR Generalist to join its Corporate HR Team!  This is a vital support position with important day-to-day responsibilities ensuring the smooth operation of the department.  Position reports directly to the Director of Human Resources and works on a day-to-day basis with executives and management at all levels in the organization. 

    THIS IS A BUSY DEPARTMENT WITH EXPOSURE TO ALL AREAS OF HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGEMENT – IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE AN INTEREST IN LEARNING AND GROWING IN THE HR FIELD AND HELPING THE DEPARTMENT SUCCEED!

    Primary responsibilities include:

    • Provide assistance and support to the Employee Relations function to include conducting interviews and documenting corrective action
    • Complete monthly/quarterly reporting for various department
    • Provide support to the performance management process
    • Management of out-processing to include the exit interview database;
    • Partner with the HR Director on overall management of HR Policies;
    • Assist with special projects for the department
    • Coordination of new hire in-processing and data entry into Deltek CostPoint;
    • Conduct verifications of employment (orally and written);
    • Management of electronic personnel and EEO files;
    • General office filing and administration in accordance with department policy and procedure; and other duties as assigned.
    • Process new hire paperwork and eVerify/I-9 documents through automated onboarding tool;
    • Assist with job description updates and resume reviews for comp plan mapping;
    • Manage incoming and outgoing department mail;
    • Enter department purchase requests into Deltek CostPoint;

    This position will interact with executives and managers on a day-to-day basis and will also frequently communicate with external contacts such as OPM investigators and mortgage institutions.

    Required Skills Required Experience

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Minimum of 8 years of related administrative support experience—to include at least three years of HR generalist or HR support experience.
    • Experience with at least one HRIS system (Deltek CostPoint preferred).
    • Demonstrated advanced-level proficiency with various tools and functions such as MS Word, Mail Merge, Adobe Acrobat, Excel, etc.
    • Prior experience with I-9 and E-Verify.
    • Must display professional attitude, excellent communication skills (both verbally and in writing).
    • Must possess exceptional organization and computer skills.
    • Must possess the ability to work independently and in a team environment with a focus on providing exceptional customer service.
    • Must be able to multi-task in a fast past environment.
    • U.S. Citizenship required. Must be able to pass criminal background check prior to start.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Prior experience performing generalist administrative HR duties highly desired
    • Experience with SilkRoad Onboarding or similar electronic onboarding system
    • Certifications or coursework in field of Human Resources
