    If you enjoy working with seniors and people who have disabilities, Help At Home (formerly Altrus) may be the place you want to call your work home. Help At Home operates small personal care homes of fewer than 25 beds that provide a more personal touch than the larger facilities. Our focus is on making sure people living in our homes feel that they are really home. We hope you will consider being a part of our team as a Personal Care Aide. WE HAVE ALL SHIFTS AVAILABLE, BUT PRIMARILY NEED TO FILL 3-11PM AND 11PM-7AM SHIFTS.

     

    The Personal Care Aide provides support in caring for residents under the direction of the Administrator. Care includes providing personal support (assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming and toileting), providing assistance with self-medication, taking and recording vital signs, providing emotional and social support to residents. Other duties may include some housekeeping, meal preparation, and escorting residents to appointments.

     

    These positions are located in Waycross, Georgia.

     

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Must be at least 18 years old;
    • Must have some experience working with the elderly and/or disabled;
    • Current TB Screening and Health Physical;
    • CPR/First Aid certification;
    • Fire Safety Certification a plus.

    • Ability to carry/lift up to 75 lbs.
    • Ability to maintain a consistent workload that may involve manual labor
    • Ability to bend, stoop, squat and maneuver in confined spaces
    • Ability to wear respirators in environments that may expose you to fumes or chemicals
