Backed by over 20 years of experience, we provide our customers with quality products at the best prices. We are seeking a full time Buying & Planning Manager to join our growing team. MRC Creations owns and operates several intimate apparel brands and most recently acquired the Fredericks of Hollywood license.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Source and build a commercial range for the Fredericks of Hollywood brand in collaboration with the design team, adhering to a seasonal OTB.
• Work with the external planning team to implement the seasonal OTB in line with sales and data analysis.
• Work in collaboration with the Creative Director and design team on the range planning to ensure we hit the RRP and margin expectations to optimize sales.
• Manage buying workflow including leadership of buying, order placement etc.
• Responsible for buying and collaborating with relevant departments to ensure effective communication and clear handover of the finished buy
• Assist the team to raise the sales orders accurately and on time to meet production deadlines
• Collaborate with the creative team to communicate product features and benefits in a timely manner, aligned with the marketing calendar objectives so they can in turn communicate this best to our customer
• Work in partnership with our vendors to negotiate cost prices, payment terms and deliveries and manage product quality
• Manage the critical path from product development to delivery, ensuring styles are delivered on time and on budget
• Analyze best/worst sellers and future trends as well as seasonal influences and opportunities
• At end of season, help prepare robust post season review covering swot on season, lessons learned, best and worst sellers including commentary
• Attend weekly trade meetings on product performance
• Continuously monitor sales and identify styles to develop and repeat
• Manage slow moving stock and help put in place strategies to promote sell-through including markdowns and promotions etc.
• Identify opportunities for growth & range expansion
• Monitor trends across social media, competitors, influencers & celebrities to develop and launch must have products at the right time

QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:

· 5+ years prior buying experience

· Tertiary qualifications in commerce, economics, fashion business or a related field

· Extreme attention to detail

· Strong knowledge of MS Excel - comfortable with analysis and working with large amounts of data

· Strong retail math skills

· Buying & Design experience

· Multitasker, prioritizing workload appropriately

· Customer centric – everything we do is with our customer in mind

· Strong focus on developing & sustaining collaborative and productive relationships

· Views our Vendors/Factories as key partners in executing the product vision

· MUST be organized & efficient, with a strong focus on achieving results
