    MRC Creations is an industry leader in designing and manufacturing intimate apparel of every shape and style. Backed by over 25 years of experience, we provide our customers with quality products at the best prices. WE ARE SEEKING A TECHNICAL DESIGN ASSOCIATE. MRC Creations owns and operates several intimate apparel brands and most recently acquired the Frederick's of Hollywood license.

    We are looking for a candidate who can work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy. The Technical Design Associate must be meticulous about details and driven by the technical aspects of design. It is an independent position that would work for two different lingerie brands.

    RESPONSIBILITIES AND DAILY TASKS:

    · Lead fittings and identify necessary corrections

    · Specify and evaluate samples to ensure compliance with specs, construction, and overall quality

    · Communicate accurate and precise pattern corrections to vendors domestically and overseas using Photoshop or Illustrator

    · Provide factory representatives with detailed comments and corrections for all garments

    · Work closely with the Design team to ensure that design intent is executed, and the highest level of quality is achieved in fit, construction, and craftsmanship

    · Continuously improve fittings by incorporating fit feedback

    · Adapts well to change, meets deadlines, prioritizes appropriately, and maintains composure under pressure

    · Maintain a timely process for processing comments and fitting samples

    · Maintain deadlines by working within the calendar

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    · 2 years in technical design, pattern making, or quality assurance, or a combination of education with equivalent work experience

    · Strong computer skills including Adobe Illustrator, MS Word, and Excel

    · Basic understanding of fit, balance, and garment construction, fabrics, and fabric performance

    · Strong communication skills including the ability to work in a team environment, give honest, direct feedback, and is a solid verbal and written communicator

    · In depth knowledge of fabric, apparel, materials, construction and fit

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk; sit, reach with hands and arms, and stoop, kneel. The employee is occasionally required to sit for long period of times.

    Salary: From $46,000.00 per year
