    Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm.

    JOB SUMMARY:

    The CDS Program Specialist is responsible for understanding all client programs throughout MRCI and the reports that coincide with each program. The individual(s) in this position serve as a primary contact for questions and reports for all program related information. They maintain good working relationships with client funding sources and remain current with the reporting requirements for each program and service that MRCI provides.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Understand and implement all of the MRCI client programs and communicate the details and/or reports of these programs to direct support staff.
    • Enter appropriate program information into case management systems to ensure client program reports and data are maintained correctly for all reporting procedures.
    • Maintain strong and supportive internal and external customer focused atmosphere.
    • Work closely with accounting to ensure client programs are billed correctly and all reports are received in a timely manner for compliance with all funding guidelines.
    • Work with minimal supervision and independently make decisions based on an understanding of MRCI program requirements, DHS rules and regulations and/or State and Federal requirements.
    • Remain current with program changes and State and Federal funding changes that effect MRCI programs. Assist with developing new practices and procedures with the Administrative Services Manager. Work with funding sources to develop best practices.
    • Educate oneself on ongoing client program funding through Federal and State grants, etc.
    • Process new clients for all MRCI locations and all status change forms with the knowledge of what the client program involves. Contact funders and counseling staff for required information and document to ensure compliance with all regulations for the client's program.
    • Ensure all client files are compliant with all external rules and regulations.
    • Assists with relief of the front reception area when needed.

    QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

    • High school diploma required, Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
    • At least three years related experience in the areas of customer service or direct service to clients.
    • Demonstrate strong writing, reading and interpersonal ability.
    • Demonstrate strong problem solving and organizational skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
    • Excellent customer service skills.
    • Ability to relate to coworkers in a close environment.
    • Must clear a MN Department of Human Services background check as well as a physical exam which will demonstrate the ability to perform the physical demands of the job.
