Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated MRI Technologist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) procedures to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. This role requires a strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical imaging techniques. The MRI Technologist will work closely with patients to ensure their comfort and safety during the scanning process while adhering to all safety protocols.
Responsibilities
- Perform MRI scans on patients as per physician orders, ensuring high-quality images for diagnostic evaluation.
- Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process, answering questions, and ensuring their comfort.
- Operate MRI equipment safely and effectively, following established protocols and procedures.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation related to imaging procedures.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to discuss findings and assist in diagnostic processes.
- Ensure compliance with aseptic techniques and safety standards to minimize risks during imaging procedures.
- Stay updated on advancements in medical imaging technology and techniques to enhance patient care.
Basic Requirements:
Education:
- High school graduate or equivalent - Required
- Graduate of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology - Required
Experience:
- 1 year modality specific experience (CT, MR, Cath Lab, or Interventional Radiology) - Preferred
Licensure/Certification:
- ARRT Registered Radiologic Technologist - Required
- Current BLS Certification - Required
- ACLS (Only required for Cath Lab)
