Join Our Patient-Focused Imaging Team in Galveston
We’re seeking a compassionate, skilled, and motivated MRI Technologist I to join our high-performing Radiology team. In this role, you'll work independently to perform routine MRI procedures, assist physicians during diagnostic and special procedures, and deliver safe, high-quality care to every patient.

- Friday–Sunday:
- 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
- 8:00 p.m. – 8:00 a.m.
- Monday–Friday:
- Other shifts may be available — we’re happy to discuss options during the interview.
What You’ll Do
- Perform high-quality MRI and MRA procedures using advanced imaging equipment
- Assist physicians during diagnostic and special procedures
- Ensure safety by following MRI safety protocols and sterile techniques
- Monitor and respond to patient needs during procedures with critical thinking and care
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients and team members
- Support a positive, collaborative work environment
- Participate in continuous quality improvement efforts
- Accurately document procedures and enter billing information in real time
- Stay current on best practices and pursue professional development opportunities
What You Bring
- Completion of an MRI training program
- 0+ years of experience (new graduates welcome)
- American Heart Association BLS certification
- MRI certification or registry-eligible (ARRT or ARMRIT)
- Registry-eligible candidates must obtain certification within 6 months of hire

- Experience with a variety of MRI units and imaging software (PACS, EHR, RIS)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A team-oriented mindset and dedication to patient-centered care
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced clinical setting
- Willingness to learn and grow professionally
Work Environment & Expectations
- Clinical attire: Scrubs
- Equipment: MRI units from multiple vendors, contrast injectors, PACS, EHR
- May require occasional travel between campuses
- Participation in on-call, weekend, holiday, and emergency rotations
- Physical requirements:
- Push/pull at least 50 lbs
- Walk long distances
- Sit or stand for up to 60 minutes at a time
- May be exposed to occupational hazards including radiation, communicable diseases, and medications
