About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated MRI Technologist to join our Imaging Department in Washington, DC. In this role, you will perform high-quality MRI examinations in accordance with departmental protocols and professional standards, ensuring patient safety and delivering exceptional diagnostic imaging services.
You will play a key role in supporting departmental efficiency, mentoring MRI students and technologists, and upholding the highest standards of safety in the magnetic environment.
Key Responsibilities
Perform MRI procedures in accordance with established protocols and safety standards.
Provide compassionate and professional patient care throughout the imaging process.
Ensure strict adherence to magnetic safety protocols for patients, staff, and equipment.
Maintain MRI equipment, exam rooms, and work areas in optimal condition.
Serve as a knowledgeable resource for MRI students and fellow technologists.
Assist with workflow and ancillary tasks to promote efficient department operations.
Qualifications
Experience:
Minimum 2 years of acute care experience required.
Lead MRI experience preferred.
Education:
High School Diploma required.
Diploma from an accredited School of Radiologic Technology required.
BS or MS in Healthcare – preferred.
Certifications:
ARRT (MR) certification – required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) – required.
