    JOB DESCRIPTION: 

    STAFFING COORDINATOR (RN)

     

    SUMMARY:

    Work with healthcare staff to develop, evaluate, and coordinate clinical management educational curriculum for on-staff medical professionals. This role is responsible for assessing and coordinating clinical training and staff orientation for medical personnel.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

     

    • Organize and implement a structured orientation program for all clinical staff to ensure that employees are fully acclimated to facility policies, procedures, systems, and nursing departments.

    • Evaluate and coordinate onboarding and mentoring programs for the medical team. 

    • Develop and implement in-services to educate staff regarding nursing policies, procedures, and employee safety.

    • Coordinate and conduct employee training on various computer hardware and software systems.

    • Provide ongoing feedback to the Director of Nursing/Director of Skilled Nursing Services on clinical staff's performance and competency.

    • Maintain a system that indicates the qualifications and competency of nursing department employees.

    • Assist with screening and interviewing of nursing applicants.

    • Supervise and direct nursing staff as required.

    • Administer and track tests and immunizations as needed.

    • Track employee CPR certification, license, online training compliance, and performance evaluations.

    • Develop and maintain staffing schedules as required.

    • Provide direct patient care as needed to meet the needs of the residents.

    • Assume additional responsibility and perform other duties and responsibilities, including special projects, as assigned.

     

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Must hold a current Registered Nurse license *Required
    • Experience in clinical instruction and CNA career ladder series training
    • Completion of post‐secondary education. 
    • Must be able to work weekends and overtime as required.
    • Related experience in staff scheduling, emergency staffing, staff onboarding proficient enough to accomplish this position.
