    Job Description

    PRIVATE EQUITY - SVP OF PORTFOLIO SUPPORT

    I am working with a premier private equity firm that is seeking a Senior Vice President of Consulting Operations / Portfolio Support. This individual will play a key role in the portfolio operations team, which focuses on value creation, operational improvements, board and management effectiveness, and resource management.

    This individual will work with the portfolio operations team, internal deal teams and management teams within portfolio companies to develop and implement value creation plans, assess areas of EBITDA improvements including strategic growth opportunities, operational improvements, and cost savings opportunities. The Senior Vice President will be able to facilitate strategic planning sessions and assist in annual business plan development of our portfolio companies. This individual will demonstrate a results-driven orientation, change management experience and persuasive ability. This individual must also be able to build consensus and draw on prior experiences to influence others. IDEAL CANDIDATE:

    Fifteen years of combined consulting and operations experience, with significant exposure to strategic matters and with specific emphasis on the following: 

    • Sales Strategy, Pricing, Marketing, Product Marketing experience
    • Revenue Enhancement – Customer strategy and marketing, pricing, sales force effectiveness
    • Cost Reduction – direct procurement, supply chain management, and operational improvements
    • Organizational effectiveness – assessment of organizational structure and existing talent, and redesign to support the successful execution of the value creation plan
    • Ideally has also held business unit P&L responsibility.
    • Business Strategy

     REQUIREMENTS

    • An undergraduate technical degree with 3-5 years post-undergrad experience at a top-tier consulting firm or at a top tier Fortune 500 company. (Bain, L.E.K. Accenture, Boston Consulting, ect.)
    • A generalist with experience across a variety of industry sectors including but not limited to Business Services, Industrials, Healthcare and Software.
    • Excellent technical skills and the ability to perform in-depth financial analysis to identify potential opportunities across the portfolio and within individual portfolio companies.
    • Superior project management and change management skills in order to execute effectively on opportunities.
    • Willing and able to travel to portfolio companies as required.
