Title: MRO Buyer
Shift: Day Shift
Pay: $75k-$85k
MRO Buyer Role:
The MRO Buyer is responsible for managing the purchase of materials, supplies, equipment, and services to support our operations for our US manufacturing locations.
MRO Buyer Responsibilities:
Demonstrates company values and shares the organizational commitment to safety, quality, productivity, and a high-performance workforce through positive employee relations.
\- Follows all environmental health and safety (EHS) policies, practices, protocols, and regulations. Proactively addresses any potential EHS issues and reports any unsafe conditions. Sets a positive example regarding EHS and a safety-first culture.
\- MRO buyer oversees setup of equipment or systems to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
\- Negotiates contracts, improves prices and terms of business with suppliers, and reviews opportunities to make business savings utilizing negotiation and procurement best practice tools and methods.
\- Expedites and coordinates critical deliveries, emergency requisitions, and quotes to ensure on-time delivery metrics are met. Contacts suppliers to resolve price, quality, delivery, or invoice issues in a timely manner.
\- Acquires and maintains technical understanding of products purchased to maintain quality and necessity of products.
- Maintains indirect supplies, including tooling, chemicals, oils, abrasives, PPE and tooling vending suppliers.
- Manages utility providers and takes advantage hedging opportunities where applicable. ? Prepares reports and updates as required, such as spend analysis and supplier analytics to ensure effective decision-making.
About You:
- 3 years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment with low volume/high turnover with degree, or 7 years of related experience without a degree
- Experience with procuring indirect materials and machine tooling is required.
