Responsibilities:

Responsible for delivering more performant MSQL database solutions along with implementation plan at enterprise level.

Ability to monitor database performance and optimize it through tuning and indexing

Review existing stored procedures, identify bottle necks and optimize them

Ensure data integrity, security and recovery processes

Trouble shoot database issues and perform timely resolutions

Ability to work with hybrid MSQL databases (on-prem and cloud)

Verify batch jobs and their performance impact on databases and think out of box solutions

Assist developers with query tuning and schema refinement

Technical Skills:

Strong proven knowledge in tuning SQL queries

Strong in writing MSQL stored procedures (TSQL)

Review Database schema designs and provide suggestions from performance angle

Help the team in identifying key indexes and how they should be structured based on schema and frequent query patterns

Identify run away queries and provide quick solutions

Monitor system's health and performance using tools like Datadog.
