SUMMARY: The Quality Assurance Manager will provide leadership, establish priorities, ensure accountability, and ensure processes are consistent and driven to completion across the facility. Ensures the timely support to the Operations, Engineering, Planning and Purchasing personnel. Develop, implement and manage quality assurance / control program designed to ensure continuous production of products with established standards, customer specifications and production goals. This individual will ensure that internal and external quality complaints/issues are driven to root cause and corrective action and case are closed in a timely and thorough manner.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develops and designs quality systems programs to meet organizational objectives and plan for continuous improvement. Investigates and analyzes quality problems, recommends solutions and ensures corrective actions are taken.
- Monitors and reports Customer Complaint trends via multiple sources including Technical Service Calls.
- Initiates Corrective Actions/Cases to address customer product complaints. Initiates all activities to contain issue and resolve current customer’s situation. This will be done personally but also via the use of staff as coordinator role on issues. Develops staff in this area.
- Manages daily activities of staff and drives efficiencies into processes
- Visits customers as needed, acts as liaison with Customers to ensure corrective actions are being implemented within the required time frame.
- Proactively introduce Statistical Process Control tools to organization. Works with operations to establish monitoring and reaction protocols to data trends
- Chairs and coordinates all activities associated with Regulatory Audits.
- Reports results from supplier management programs.
- Administers plans for internal audits of quality systems, manufacturing processes, products and ERP procedures and reports out on findings
- Manages the Non Conformance Reporting system.
- Manages the Return Goods System and assigns forensic analysis of returned goods.Acts as a direct liaison to third party inspection agency(s)
- Prepares technical reports and reports out on status of open quality cases. Presents findings to senior management and customers.
- Manages the Quality Assurance TCR budget.
- Conducts Management Review Activities
- Develop and report on cost of poor quality issues and financial impact to Company
- Participates in vendor selection process.
- Performs other quality services duties as required or directed.
EXPERIENCE:
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Products; Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Project and Statistical Software tools such as Minitab or Sigmazone.
- Strong ability to facilitate quality complaint meetings and establish same expectations for staff to maintain standard as meeting leaders
- Strong Ability to facilitate and or lead continuous improvement activities.

EDUCATIONS:
- BS in Industrial Technology or engineering discipline
- Minimum of 5 years supervisory or management experience
