Position Overview:
Our client, a top mortgage bank with a national presence, continues to expand their team. They have increased their focus on dominating the mortgage business throughout the Southeast. The Sales Manager is responsible for recruiting, building, and leading a team of experienced mortgage professionals.
Duties:
- Recruit, hire, and train licensed mortgage loan originators and support staff
- Ensure quality loans are originated
- Assume a leadership role among Mortgage Loan Origination staff as a top producer
- Assist with compilation of recruitment budget; coordinate hiring needs
- Review, analyze, and evaluate detailed business and functional requirements, documentation, process flows, and date modules to contribute to the development of project plans
- Develop and maintain a recruiting database
- Implement and monitor effective recruiting and hiring campaigns
- Maintain current working knowledge of all jobs/functions and policies within the Company to insure appropriate hiring of employees
- Apprise internal departments of upcoming new hires for smooth integration of personnel and to ensure adequate facilities and resources are available
- Provide present and potential customers with a superior level of customer service.
- Develop new business and strengthen existing relationships by determining a prospect’s needs and selling appropriate product; sell loans for appropriate amounts, rates and terms that comply with program guidelines
- Generate sales reports to track sales production and effectiveness of regional marketing programs
- Maintain a working knowledge of federal, state and local governments’ and private investors’ policies and guidelines
- Maintain strong familiarity with current trends in the real estate and mortgage banking industries as well as company operating policies & procedures
- Create/maintain a symbiotic relationship with Operations and Secondary Marketing departments
Qualifications
3+ years of management experience in mortgage sales preferred; operations background a plus
3+ years of related experience within the mortgage industry
Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or economics is preferred
