    Job Description

We are looking for a Transducer Engineering Intern to join our Ground Round Vehicle team for the summer of 2024.

MTS calibrates the 6 DOF load cell while it is mounted on the K&C rig. Hydraulic cylinders are used to generate force and uni-axial reference load cells are used as the reference standard force measurement. The current calibration fixture is designed for a previous iteration of the K&C and improvements are desired to eliminate mechanical interference, increase force capacity, and improve geometric uncertainty. The initial task is a layout and solve a structural analysis problem to eliminate the mechanical interference issues.
