    Position Overview:

    As a part-time System Administrator, your role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation and security of our network infrastructure. With expertise in both Windows and Linux environments, you'll administer and maintain our systems, guaranteeing their reliability, security, and optimal performance. Your responsibilities include configuring, installing, and managing network hardware and software components to meet organizational needs, as well as monitoring network activity and promptly troubleshooting issues. Additionally, staying updated on emerging technologies and best practices will allow you to continuously enhance our network infrastructure and operations.

    Responsibilities:

    • An expert in Outlook synchronization, managing folders, indexing, handling extensive data, and managing multiple accounts.
    • Ability to demonstrate Outlook Administrator abilities
    • Administer and maintain network infrastructure, encompassing Windows and Linux systems, ensuring their reliability, security, and optimal performance.
    • Configure, install, and oversee network hardware and software components, such as routers, switches, firewalls, and servers, to meet organizational needs.
    • Monitor network activity, analyze performance metrics, and promptly troubleshoot issues to address network-related problems.
    • Implement robust network security measures, including access controls, encryption, and intrusion detection systems, to safeguard against unauthorized access and data breaches.
    • Collaborate with IT teams and departmental stakeholders to design and deploy network solutions aligned with business objectives.
    • Document network configurations, procedures, and best practices to facilitate knowledge sharing and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

    Experience:

    • 5 or more years of demonstrated experience as a network administrator or similar role, as an expert in Windows and Linux environments. Strong skills in administering and troubleshooting network devices and protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and VPNs.
    • Sound understanding of network security principles, encompassing firewalls, VPNs, encryption, and vulnerability management.
    • Familiarity with virtualization technologies, cloud computing platforms, and containerization solutions is advantageous.
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to engage effectively with team members and stakeholders.
    • Candidate ideally is an Microsoft 365 Certified Enterprise Administrator Expert

    Job Type: Part-time-ability to start immediately

    Salary: $55.00 - $70.00 per hour

    Expected hours: Adhoc as needed, but ongoing

    Work Location: Remote
