Job Description

The Quote Writing team is responsible for collaborating with internal customers to advance and propel the sales process by preparing professional, prompt and accurate sales proposals; responsive and customer friendly order process administration and team oriented support and solutions to our internal and external customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Receive Requests for Quotation (RFQ's) from internal customers, for complete machines, retrofit components, accessories and rebuilds; and assume responsibility for the quotation process. Assume responsibility for the presentation, commercial accuracy (pricing, terms and conditions) and final technical review of a customer proposal.

1. Review and prioritize all RFQ's and determine best course of action to complete as correctly and as quickly as possible; ensuring appropriate gross profit margins.
2. Consult with internal customers sales/order department as necessary.
3. Oversee the process of getting appropriate information to Engineering
4. Work with teams and customers to modify and update proposals as necessary.
5. Participate in regularly scheduled department meetings (RFQ and New Order Review Meetings).
6. Assist in on-going development and refinement of Notes Quotes or other quote systems.
7. Self-assess technical knowledge and obtain training as necessary.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; and two to four years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

COMPUTER SKILLS: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software; Spreadsheet software; Order processing systems; Internet software; ERP systems; Database software and Contact Management systems.
