McKechnie Vehicle Components (MVC), a Detroit-based automotive manufacturer is a Tier I and Tier II supplier of painted, assembled, chrome plated automotive components with locations in Kentucky, Michigan and South Carolina.
This full-time position is in Nicholasville, Kentucky.
ROLE OVERVIEW
Provide desktop support for computers, printers, software, and networking equipment.
MINIMUM RESPONSIBILTIES
· Provide desktop support for computers, printers, software, and networking equipment.
· Responsible for cell phones throughout the company, including ordering, fixing, and managing.
· Responsible for maintaining wireless network.
· Create all new users and set up in the appropriate locations.
· Maintain and upgrade computer peripherals.
· Analyze computer configurations and processes.
· Maintains system capability by testing computer components.
· Suggest cost savings to the management staff for any IT related scenarios.
· Train employees on how to effectively and efficiently use software.
REQUIREMENTS
· Degree in information technology, computer science or related field.
· Ability to effectively and efficiently utilize Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Power Point, etc.
· Ability to read and interpret documents, e.g., operating manual, procedure manual, etc.
· Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
· Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the company.
· Ability to interact with all levels of the organization
· Ability to problem solve
· Ability to sit, stand, walk; use arms to reach and hands to touch, handle, grasp; ability to talk, see, hear; ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to climb stairs.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Working conditions in the manufacturing area may require personal protective equipment. All employees of MVC must be able to wear the required personal protective equipment and are expected to comply with the safety policies and practices.’
