Job Description
MW Partners is currently seeking a Data Analyst to work for our client who is a global information services organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Detailed analysis of consumer data and categorization results
- Refine requirements for Data pre and post processing
- Develop expertise in operation and understanding of categorization System
- Execute ad-hoc/daily/weekly Tasks required for operating and training categorization system
- Support Taxonomy requirements in partnership with product team
- Provide support for data science and analytics across enterprise user base
- Support development and operation of data standardization processes
- Monitor Operational KPIs and suggest necessary actions to address identified issues
- Review categorization corrections, updates and optimizations
- Support and contribute to documentation and standardization efforts
- Support assessment of immediate and long-term value of new data sources, including identification of missing consumer data/information elements
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and Artemis Engineering teams
REQUIREMENTS:
- Advanced degree in economics, statistics, physics, math, or another quantitative field
- Experience or understanding of Text Analytics and NLP (natural language processing) techniques and sparse data
- Familiarity with probability, statistical inference, optimization algorithms, linear algebra, and calculus.
- Familiarity with available and prevalent Machine Learning algorithms
- Ability to write code in Python, as well as proficiency with SQL
- Demonstrable analytical and problem-solving abilities, coupled with an enquiring mind and the ability to learn quickly
- Familiarity building supervised and unsupervised models using statistical or machine learning approaches
- Ability to creatively problem-solve, and to thrive in a highly collaborative, multidisciplinary environment
- Holistic and end to end approach to data, including querying, aggregation, deep analysis, visualization and models; communicate and present findings/actionable insights to audiences at varying levels of technical sophistication
- Flexible and adaptable to learn and understand new technologies
- Strong business acumen with ability to clearly articulate research goals and results to technical and business audiences
- Efficiently manage his/her own project queue and develop streamlined workflows
BONUS POINTS FOR
- Prior professional experience in the financial industry
- Ph.D. in economics, statistics, physics, math, or another quantitative field
- Ability to initiate and drive projects from ideation to implementation
- Prior professional experience building deep-learning models and familiarity with the popular frameworks (Tensorflow or PyTorch is a huge bonus)
- Experience with deep learning and other advanced modeling approaches to extract and automate insights from data
- Understanding of current trends in machine learning interpretability and transparency
