    Our Head of Social Media will set the strategy and operating procedures for listening, content curation, community management, content amplification and social commerce to ensure our clients from highly regulated industries engage on the topics that are important to their customers and provide business value:

    Location:

    This position will be located in our New York City Office. We understand that there are current complicating factors given the COVID pandemic, however it is our intent for this position to be based in the office.

    Responsibilities:

    •  Lead strategy and operations for Social Media
      • Listening to their Customers – develop ways of segmenting audiences and tracking social activity where clients can have meaningful engagement in a responsible manner.
      • Content Curation – assist clients with finding the rest message at the right time to inspire, engage or provide products and services that enhance their daily lives.
      • Community Management – develop simulations using test data to train community managers on how to answer tough questions in highly regulated industries. Assist with automating social care when it makes sense and detecting inflection points where customers need to chat with social care professionals.
      • Content Amplification – understand the ways to market content through Owned, Paid, Earned and Shared channels, working on integrated marketing plans to help social content become visible to the right audience at the right time.
      • Social Commerce – where possible, make it easier for customers to shop on social without having to leave the platforms where they are living their virtual lives.
    • Build and mentor a team of Social Media experts who will develop tools and services to meet the objectives of each project on-time and on-budget.
    • Communicate Social Media requirements technical teams that are building tracking tools. Pivot to explain the value of data-driven content to brand strategists, publicists, writers and creative agencies
    • Experienced with working with strict editorial and legal guidelines from highly regulated industries.
    • Craft practical Social Media strategies to our clients which provide measurable impact by directly addressing their needs.
    • Develop business cases that forecast the value of Social Media projects to the clients.
    • Translate Social Media concepts and data into readable, simple, regular reporting.
    • Represent Mach 9 in the Social Media community, actively participating in online journals, conferences and webinars.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree program related to English, Communications, Journalism or Psychology
    • Minimum of 7+ years working as a Social Media Manager or Head of Social Media
    • Familiar with Social Media tools such as Sprinklr, HootSuite, Sprout Social, Khoros, TalkWalker, etc.
    • Worked with AI Chatbots that integrate into Digital Experience Platforms (Adobe Experience Manager, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, SAP Commerce Cloud, etc)
    • Proven track record of formulating executable Social Media strategies for clients

    WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR (FOR THIS PARTICULAR POSITION):

    • Seasoned Senior Social Media Manager/Director with some experience in highly regulated industries such as Vaping, Tobacco, Alcohol, Cannabis or Pharma.
    • Passion for Social Media and drive to constantly test the boundaries of what we know about social platforms
    • Attentive to details with the ability to think strategically and analytically
    • Active in the Social Media community
    • Strong Project Management skills
    • Exception oral and written communication skills
    • Comfort working in a start-up environment and balancing multiple priorities, both conceptual and execution oriented.
