  • Responsibilities

    Our Head of Analytics will define and build a data warehouse architecture, connect our tools with partners using APIs, and create dashboards/visualizations to help our clients take informed actions from our insights. Using business acumen to ensure there are actionable insights that will lead to business outcomes:

    LOCATION:

    This position will be located in our New York City Office. We understand that there are current complicating factors given the COVID pandemic, however it is our intent for this position to be based in the office.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Lead strategy and operations for Analytics
      • Data Warehouse – familiar with legal requirements of highly regulated industries that may restrict data collection. Build a flexible data warehouse architecture that will grow as the agency does.
      • Dashboards/Visualizations – implement APIs with popular digital marketing tools to pull data and then design dashboards/visualizations that will help customers take action on the data being collection.
    • Build and mentor a team of Data Engineers, Business Intelligence Analysts, and Data Scientists who will develop tools and services to meet the objectives of each project on-time and on-budget.
    • Understanding business priorities and leverage customer data through analytics, demand forecasting, multi-touch attribution, customer segmentation, and lifetime value and A/B testing
    • Implementation of data infrastructure (data pipelines, ETL, CDI, client-side tracking)
    • Develop business cases that forecast the value of digital marketing projects to the clients.
    • Distill complex digital marketing concepts and data into readable, simple, regular reporting.
    • Represent Mach 9 in the Analytics community, actively participating in online journals, conferences and webinars.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor’s degree program related to Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science or Operational Research
    • Minimum of 7+ years working as an Analytics Manager, Data Scientist or Head of Analytics
    • SQL required, Python a plus
    • Familiar with Visualization tools such as Google Design Studio, Tableau, Sisense, PowerBI, etc
    • Worked with popular Web Analytics (Google, Adobe, etc) and Data Warehouse Platforms (Amazon Redshift, Snowflake, Teradata, Microsoft, etc)
    • Proven track record of formulating executable analytics strategies for clients

    WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR (FOR THIS PARTICULAR POSITION):

    • Seasoned Senior Analytics Manager/Director with some experience in highly regulated industries such as Vaping, Tobacco, Alcohol, Cannabis or Pharma.
    • Passion for Analytics and drive to finding the context in data that will drive business decisions
    • Attentive to details with the ability to think strategically and analytically
    • Active in the Analytics community
    • Strong Project Management skills
    • Exception oral and written communication skills
    • Comfort working in a start-up environment and balancing multiple priorities, both conceptual and execution oriented.
