As a Machine Builder, you are responsible for the mechanical assembly of equipment, ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency in all work performed. This role is hands-on and requires mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, effective communication, and a strong team player attitude.
Assembly of equipment per mechanical drawings using your own hand tools
Proficiently read and interpret part and assembly drawings
Demonstrate proven mechanical aptitude with a focus on safety and quality
Accept direction and complete tasks assigned, working as part of a team or individually
Maintain a steady work pace with frequent bending, kneeling, climbing ladders, and accessing areas on and beneath machinery
Safely lift up to 50 lbs. as required
Obtain and maintain certifications, including:- Hi-Lo (Fork Lift) license
Provide and maintain your own hand tools and toolbox suitable for the job
Ensure all changes and problems are promptly documented and communicated
Carry out assigned tasks with minimal direct supervision
Execute and uphold ISO and Quality standards in daily work
Communicate regularly with the Machine Build Lead regarding open issues and build progress
Successfully execute assigned programs relating to cost, quality, timing, and customer satisfaction
Maintain cleanliness and organization of your assigned work area at all times
Coordinate pick-up and delivery of secondary processes (material finish, heat treat, deburring)
Assist the lead builder in maintaining and coordinating project task lists, machine safety, machine quality, and driving projects to completion within established timelines
Effectively and safely operate the following equipment:- Mill
