Machine Builder / Mechanical Assembler
Location: Lake County, OH
Shift: 1st Shift | Monday-Friday | 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM (30-minute unpaid lunch)
Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour, based on experience

Our client is seeking a skilled Machine Builder / Mechanical Assembler to join a growing manufacturing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys building equipment from the ground up, working from blueprints, and using a variety of fabrication and assembly techniques.

Responsibilities
- Assemble custom machinery and mechanical systems from engineering drawings and blueprints.
- Fit, align, and install structural components and mechanical assemblies.
- Perform sheet metal fabrication, including cutting, bending, and forming materials.
- Weld structural components using MIG and/or TIG welding processes.
- Operate fabrication equipment including saws, drill presses, tapping machines, and other shop tools.
- Inspect completed assemblies using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators.
- Troubleshoot mechanical fitment and alignment issues during the assembly process.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in machine building, mechanical assembly, or industrial fabrication.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints and engineering drawings.
- Experience with:
- MIG and/or TIG welding
- Sheet metal fabrication
- Band saws, chop saws, drill presses, and tapping equipment
- Precision measuring tools
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with hydraulic or pneumatic systems.
- Technical training or apprenticeship in welding, fabrication, or machine building.
- Basic electrical assembly or panel mounting experience.
