Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent

5 years + of experience in a manual machine shop or tool room department

Experience with creating parts from just a design or blueprint

5 years of experience with hands on manual machining.

5 year of experience with manual Lathes is a MUST

Experience Mills and Grinders is preferred

Experience manufacturing tooling fixtures

Experience reading blueprints and work instructions in English

Experience with measuring devices to ensure the quality of the manufactured components

Physical requirements are listed below but not limited to:

Standing- Frequent/Intermittent Up to 8 hours per day.

Walking- Occasionally/Intermittent Up to 8 hours per day.

Sitting- Occasionally/Intermittent. Lifting- Up to 50 lbs.

Occasionally/Intermittent. Carrying up to 50 lbs.

Occasionally/Intermittent Pushing/Pulling-between 50-100 lbs

Responsibilities

Review, drawings or instructions to understand specifications of output.

Plan the sequence of necessary actions for the completion of a job

Take measurements and mark material for cutting or shaping.

Select appropriate machines ( Lathes, Mill, grinder) and load material

Select tools and cutting conditions.

Define and manufacture tooling fixture/JIG required to manufacture the parts.

Check output to ensure consistency

Perform routine machine maintenance and repair minor damages

Operate the machines safely
