Position Summary:

The Machine Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining various fabrication shop machinery to support daily production. This role involves working with equipment such as band saws, press brakes, and plasma tables, as well as using hand tools and material handling equipment. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-conscious, and willing to learn, with all experience levels considered.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate shop machinery including band saws, press brakes, plasma tables, and shears
• Perform primary duties related to band saw operation
• Use hand tools such as grinders, welders, and plasma torches
• Operate material handling equipment including forklifts and telehandlers
• Maintain equipment and ensure proper working condition
• Meet daily production goals in a timely and efficient manner
• Communicate effectively with management and team members
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures
• Maintain consistent attendance and reliability
• Work collaboratively as part of a team
• Other Duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous equipment or machine operation experience preferred but not required
• Strong work ethic and reliability
• Basic math skills and ability to use measuring tools
• Basic computer skills required
• AutoCAD experience is a plus but not required

Work Environment:

• Shop-based fabrication environment
• Exposure to machinery, noise, and industrial conditions
• Requires standing, lifting, and working with tools and equipment
