Cactus Varied Industries is a millwright and fabrication company based in Amarillo, TX, proudly operating as a division of Cactus Feeders. We provide a wide range of millwright and fabrication services in the agriculture sector. We are seeking a highly motivated Machine Operator to join our shop team. All levels of experience are welcome —we provide hands-on training for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate various machinery, including band saw, press brake, plasma table, and shear.
• Utilize hand grinders, welders, plasma torch, forklifts, telehandlers, and related tools/equipment.
• Maintain and service equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Manage primary duties involving band saw operation .
• Meet daily production goals in a timely and efficient manner.
• Communicate effectively with management and team members to support production flow.
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a safety-first mindset.
• Participate in cross-training opportunities on multiple types of machinery.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous equipment operation experience is a plus (training provided).
• Strong work ethic with a commitment to attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to read measurements, use measuring tools, and perform basic math.
• Basic computer skills; AutoCAD experience is a plus, but not required.
