    DMI is a locally owned-operated machine shop serving regional and international customers, specialize in high-tolerance precision mill-turn machining of production jobs. We manage individual parts and assemblies, as well as jobs requiring additional vendors such as plating/anodizing, laser engraving, powder coating, sheet-metal, and plastic molding. We provide full in-house quality control, including CMM and first article inspection.

    Job Summary

    We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Machine Operator – Rotational Lining / Roto Mold to operate and maintain rotational lining (roto-lining) equipment used to apply polymer coatings to metal or fabricated components. Experience with rotational lining or roto-molding equipment is preferred but not required. Prior manufacturing or industrial experience is strongly preferred. This role is responsible for machine setup, operation, quality inspection, and maintaining production standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

    Compensation

    $20–$30 per hour, based on experience and qualifications

    Responsibilities

    • Set up and operate shuttle-style rotational lining / rotational molding machine
    • Prepare, measure, and handle thermoplastic materials used in the lining process
    • Load and unload parts, molds, or components safely and efficiently
    • Monitor heating and rotation cycles to ensure consistent liner application
    • Inspect finished products to verify quality standards are met
    • Identify and address minor mechanical or process issues
    • Perform routine equipment checks and report maintenance concerns
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
    • Follow all safety and operational procedures and OSHA guidelines

    Requirements

    • High school diploma or GED
    • Ability to read and interpret basic technical drawings or work instructions
    • Strong attention to safety, detail, and quality standards
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment

    Preferred Qualifications

    • 2+ years of machine operation experience in a manufacturing or production environment
    • Technical school training or apprenticeship in a related field

    Physical Requirements

    • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
    • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive tasks
    • Comfortable working in a noisy, industrial setting
