Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Machine Operator III to join a fast-paced manufacturing team producing corrugated packaging products. This role is ideal for candidates with experience in high-speed production environments who are looking to grow their skills operating advanced machinery.
You will be trained to operate corrugator and converting equipment, perform routine maintenance, and ensure high-quality production output.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate corrugator and converting machines to produce corrugated packaging products
- Adjust machine settings to meet product specifications and quality standards
- Perform routine maintenance and minor troubleshooting on equipment
- Inspect finished products for defects and take corrective action when needed
- Read and use a tape measure to verify dimensions and product quality
- Maintain consistent production output in a high-speed environment
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to meet production goals
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment
- Keep work area clean, organized, and compliant with 5S standards
- Assist with material handling, machine operation, and training/mentoring new team members
Required Qualifications
- Experience in a high-speed, high-volume manufacturing environment
- Ability to read and understand basic English
- Strong attention to detail and quality inspection skills
- Ability to read a tape measure and identify product defects
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn machine operation and maintenance
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Willingness to work overtime, including weekends as needed
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs regularly
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift
- Comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled environment (heat, cold, noise)
- Ability to work extended shifts (up to 12 hours when required)
