Job Description: CNC Machine Shop Lead Man

Pay Range: $40.00 - $45.00

CNC Machine Shop Leadman: A successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years experience in machining. Must have both manual and CNC capabilities. As the machine shop leadman, you will be active on the shop floor daily utilizing your technical expertise to support our staff of machinists as well as operating equipment

Job Type: Full-time

DAY SHIFT:

Monday-Thursday 7 am-4:30 pm

Friday 7 am-11 am.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Read and understand production process work instructions and drawings to gain a thorough understanding of requirements

Monitoring the production process. Able to think critically and make adjustments to process when problems arise

Coordinating daily tasks according to priorities and plans, making changes when necessary due to weather, supply, delivery and personnel

Delegating individual responsibilities and projects to crew members

Training, managing and mentoring employees

Emphasizing safe use of tools, machinery and equipment while providing training on safety gear and procedures

Resolving conflicts or miscommunications quickly and amicably

Regularly reporting project status to management

Required Skills/Abilities:

Have a positive attitude

Ability to develop a plan of action to manufacture parts according to drawing specifications or sample parts.

Extensive knowledge of CNC machine tools and controls

Extensive knowledge of machining and machining processes.

Extensive knowledge of machine shop tooling, speeds and feeds

Ability to read blueprints and interpret GD&T on drawings

Excellent machine shop math skills, able to calculate proper feeds and speeds

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to comply with all company safety guidelines

Physical Requirements: · Able to lift 50 pounds · Able to stand for entire shift
