Job Summary: Javin Machine Corp. is seeking a Class 1 Lathe Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter, and is prepared to set up and operate a variety of CNC lathes and mill-turn machines.

Responsibilities:

Setting up and operating CNC lathes to manufacture aerospace parts

Reading and interpreting blueprints/drawings

Providing ideas to improve manufacturing and make suggestions for process improvement

Calculate dimensions and tolerance using measuring instruments

Perform routine maintenance on machinery, if needed

Light/simple program writing, if needed

Skills:

At least 5 years’ experience in tight tolerance manufacturing required

Familiarity with Lathes and Fanuc Controls

The ability to do some light programming (simple conversational programs at a minimum)

The ability to read manufacturing prints and understand GD&T

The ability to use manual inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gages, dial bores, etc. Effectively and accurately.

Strong attention to detail

Manual/Conventional machine experience is a huge plus

Experience with Mastercam and Autodesk Inventor is a huge plus, but not required
