Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Machinist with strong mechanical aptitude to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot header machines in a manufacturing environment. This role requires hands-on mechanical expertise and problem-solving skills. CNC experience is beneficial but candidates must also possess strong traditional machining and mechanical troubleshooting capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and adjust header machines to produce parts meeting quality and production standards
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and tooling issues on header machines
• Perform machine changeovers, tool changes, and adjustments as required
• Read and interpret blueprints, job travelers, and specifications
• Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges, etc.)
• Perform routine preventative maintenance and minor repairs
• Work closely with maintenance and production teams to minimize downtime
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area

Required Qualifications

• Advanced mechanical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex machine issues
• Experience operating and maintaining header machines (cold heading or similar equipment)
• Strong understanding of machine mechanics, tooling, and setups
• Ability to diagnose root causes of mechanical failures
• Comfortable working hands-on in a production environment

Preferred Qualifications

• CNC machining experience (mills, lathes, or related equipment)
• Experience with both manual and automated manufacturing equipment
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices
• Background in high-volume or precision manufacturing
