    Introduction:

    Reporting directly to the VP of Sales, the Sales Account Manager will assume overall responsibility for the sales of all our client's products. You drive sales opportunities forward in both industry (pharma, biotech) and academia, while working with the Business Development team to create pipeline and teaming up with product managers to execute a successful global Sales and Marketing strategy.

    Our client has come to market as the supplier of instruments for dynamic single-molecule and cell research – a rapidly evolving niche in the fundamental biology research field. Our high-performance instruments allow for the investigation into the fundamental cause of disease and potential for drug optimization. We offer the chance to be part of an important mission: To improve human health by unlocking dynamic single-molecule and cell analysis. With an ever-increasing adoption of our technologies by leading institutes from all over the world, including Berkeley, Max-Planck, Rockefeller University and ShanghaiTech, our client is now expanding its team.

    Responsibilities:

    • Developing new customer relationships and maintaining existing accounts in academia and industry
    • Driving sales in assigned territory and expanding brand awareness
    • Working with business development to plan and execute strategic sales projects
    • Representing the company at workshops and conferences
    • Provide feedback from the field to sales management about market dynamics and product performance

    Requirements:

    • MSc or PhD, in Physics, Biophysics, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology or related sciences
    • 1+ years of sales experience in the biotech instrumentation field
    • Ability to understand our customers’ needs and how our clients’ instruments can have positive impact
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and professional demeanor
    • Motivated, self driven, goal oriented, energetic work ethic and an outstanding team-player
    • Strong organizational skills, and ability to multitask
    • Ability and interest to travel extensively
    • Travel requirement 50%
