The Field Applications Specialist will be responsible for providing technical support, training and customer service to both current and potential customers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform installations, training and validations on our chemistry analyzers
Perform validations on current and future non-Company instruments. .
Provide on-site technical support and training for all Company reagents and chemistry analyzers.
Coordinate field service support with outsourced Engineers and Company Technical Service personnel.
Perform technical presentations at customer sites to prospective customers or at the National Sales Meeting.
Assist sales people and customers with writing protocols for Company and non-Company assays and performing work flow analysis.
Ensure correct documentation for product complaints.
Provide On- Call support before and/or after hours as required by the Department.
Provide feedback to Company on product performance with suggestions for product improvements and new product development.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
BA/BS in a Biological Science or equivalent education with experience required; Clinical Laboratory Scientist or Medical Technologist preferred
Minimum of 2 years instrumentation experience in a clinical laboratory strongly preferred
Experience working as a field applications/technical support rep required
Experience with Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) also strongly preferred.
Must be able to travel Monday through Friday as required
