    Overview

    Our client is currently seeking a Logistics Coordinator to join our organization to support our Global Distribution Center and Headquarters operations in Milford, MA. We are looking for a detail-oriented candidate to manage, direct and monitor the flow of materials and resources through the warehouse at the Milford location. The position is a critical support function for the site-based manufacturing, research and development and the headquarters operations. The Warehouse Coordinator schedules the movement of products throughout the warehouse including storage and shipment of finished products monitoring schedules for the timely delivery of materials and identifying potential issues that may disrupt workflow. The location for this position is Milford, MA.

    What you get to do

    • Arrange transportation and orchestrate deliveries of various products from one destination to another and arrange method of shipments to meet transportation time expectations balanced with minimized cost
    • Manages daily flow of inventory by modifying storage space assignments
    • Confirms availability of items to be shipped by verifying inventory records or conducting inventories of required items
    • Handling of packaging and documentation for hazardous materials (DOT/IATA)
    • Book and confirm pickups with freight forwarders

    • Input and confirm tracking details for all shipments
    • Manually handles, repacks, or restacks pallets of finished product as needed
    • Documents all related activities and completes forms and reports

    • Works with various departments and individuals across multiple organizations to ensure materials and resources flow through the warehouse in a timely manner
    • Communicate with individuals at different levels in the organization (Sales, Manufacturing, HR, Marketing, Research and Development, Field Service, Executive Management)
    • Work with outside customers or internal departments to develop a timeline for the delivery of products or goods for both domestic and international customers
    • Provide a single point of contact for delivery inquiry and coordinates re-delivery when needed
    • Monitor the flow of materials or resources through the process to ensure on time delivery

    • Coordinators troubleshoot problems to make sure that issues are resolved on-time and solutions are communicated to end users

    • Ability to work independently and troubleshoot as needed, also have interpersonal communication and be self-motivated

    Your background and skills

    • High school diploma or equivalent required
    • Valid state motor vehicle operator’s license for forklift truck required
    • At least two years of work experience in a warehouse required
    • Problem-solving skills, decision making ability, organizational skills, procedural mindset, and ability to prioritize

    • Familiarity of shipping software and metering operations

    • Good interpersonal skills to work effectively with others

    • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects, effective project planning in terms of resources, strategies, cost, and time with ability to meet delivery expectations

    • Strong computer proficiency in MS Office applications

    • SAP experience

    • Hazardous materials certifications (DOT/IATA training) a plus

    • Project management and time management skills

    • Good oral and written communication skills

    • Good problem-solving skills
