Job Description

Working at Macro Solutions, a leading provider of IT and management consulting services, is an opportunity to collaborate with great people who have a passion for the services they provide to our clients. We are currently looking for an experienced WEB DEVELOPER for a Remote role on one of our projects in Arlington, VA. 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Write, test, and debug back-end code that supports websites and web-based applications.
• Provide technical experience with the Java programming language and relational databases (Oracle).
• Work closely with the User Experience Manager and the Transition Lead to ensure that final products adhere to predetermined budgets, scope, designs, and shape visitors’ experiences. 
• Create page layouts (heading and paragraphs), website styling (colors and fonts), and page features (animations and pictures).
• Present to clients a website prototype to help them understand what the finished product will be. 
• Maintain the website as new features are added or old features are updated, ensuring these changes are implemented smoothly and that they do not disrupt the website’s features.

REQUIREMENTS  

• ACTIVE SECRET CLEARANCE REQUIRED
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications, training or work experience.
• 5+ years of experience programming applications using Java

PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect, 
• Linux LPIC1, 
• Oracle DBA
• CompTIA Security+
• DOD 8570 Certification a plus

OPTIONAL / PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS 

• Eclipse Integrated Development Environment IDE
• Developing projects using the Agile Methodologies
• Experience working with Spring MVC, Spring Boot, JavaScript, NodeJS, jQuery, react, HTNML5, CSS3, JSP, Servlets
• Maven
• Oracle PL/SQL Programming language, and the ability to use CRUD via Java
• Web Design and Development methodologies such as the SDLC
• Current certifications or ability to obtain (CompTIA Security +, Oracle, Linux, Windows, AWS)
