Job Description
The Sales Coordinator works within a fun and fast-paced sales environment. The selected individual will work closely with our VP of Sales on an array of projects, ranging from Sales to Pre-production Management and Buyer interaction.
We are looking for a highly energetic, super organized and positive individual to join our team. This is an amazing opportunity to get an inside track into the retail industry and product sales!! Communication and punctuality are key so this individual must be personable, a problem-solver and very reliable. Nothing is too small for our team, so we are not limited to the few tasks above and extra tasks beyond.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
- Provide support and assistance to VP of Sales in an array of projects to help increase sales.
- Preparation for Buyer Meetings by organizing and preparing samples and presentations, trend shopping, project management in systems, etc.
- Address and assist in all product development questions
- Attend and participate in weekly meetings to help increase sales – including but not limited to Brand, Product Development, Production and Sales.
- Crosscheck and review incoming orders for accuracy, delivery and completion.
- Working directly with customers in meeting preparations, sample management and pre-purchase order management.
- Sample Management – Pre-production and Post-Production, as needed. Also includes sample request and delivery.
- Actively and successfully maintain systems such as Basecamp and Webtech to ensure style numbers are generated, WIPS are up to date, projects are managed and communicated timely and properly.
- Work across multiple departments including Licensing, Creative, Sales to ensure all deadlines are met.
- Some light lifting of boxes and samples is required.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Inside sales support / customer service / coordination
- Use of business management software and/or a professional retail user portal
- Proficient in Adobe and Microsoft Office Products, primarily Excel (REQUIRED), Word, PowerPoint, and Acrobat.
- Professional interaction: tactful, positive, effective communicator (verbal and written).
- Critical thinking; ability to organize, prioritize, and multi task all while taking direction
- Must exhibit qualities of reliability, punctuality and be able to work with minimal supervision
- Exceptional skills when it comes to time management and assistance in helping to increase sales
- Express interest in an array of categories of merchandise and licensed brands
- Exceptional conflict resolution skills; must be a proactive problem solver.
- Ability to use Outlook, Outlook Calendar, and maintain daily “task list”.
- Capacity to work both independently and within a team environment.
- Take responsibility and ownership of your work and output.
- Self-motivated and passionate with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Capacity to follow direction, troubleshoot, meet goals and objectives.
- Must be organized, detail oriented with exceptional follow through and follow up skills.
