    Job Summary

    As a Mad Scientist you will lead students through an inquiry-based discovery method involving instructor demonstrations, hands-on activities and amazing take-home projects.

    You will facilitate a group of children between the ages of 4-12 during their lunch or after-school extra-curricular program, over an 8 to 10 week session.

    You will inspire the next generation of scientists, engineers, and artists through our innovative activities that show children what education is really all about.

    We want to pay you to have fun! You could have the opportunity to build and fly rockets, create slime, explore the states of matter using dry ice, innovate using Lego® blocks, become a Chess master, design art projects using Crayola® and so much more.

    All educational disciplines and backgrounds welcome!

    A science background is not required.

    A teaching certificate is not necessary.

    This is a part-time position.

    $35.00 per one-hour class

    Requirements

    experience working with groups of children between the ages of 4-12 years old

    a valid driver's license & access to a vehicle during working hours

    provide a valid Vulnerable Sector police screening once hired

    a high energy, outgoing, positive personality

    the ability to lift heavy equipment occasionally

    Availability

    Must be:

    available during lunch and/or after school hours

    available Fridays from 1:30-2:30

    able to commit to an entire season (8-10 weeks)

    attend training sessions as assigned
