At Mad Science of DC, we are having a BLAST! We pay you to have fun! Build and fly rockets, demonstrate lasers, teach children about the prehistoric world of dinos, and more! You will inspire the next generation of scientists through our innovative activities that show kids what science is really all about. As a Mad Science Camp Counselor, you will lead students through an inquiry-based discovery method involving instructor demonstrations, hands-on experiments, and amazing take-home projects that will illustrate how science affects the world around us. Mad Science is the world's leading provider of fun science programs for elementary-aged children.

Full-time, seasonal positions are available for candidates who:

Have experience working with groups of children aged 6-12

Are available to work full time each week from July 13-August 21

Position Description

As a Mad Science Summer Camp Counselor, you will be responsible for teaching our summer camp curriculum to a group of elementary-aged children each week. Our camps run from 9am to 4pm. We have camp locations throughout the DC metro area, but this position is specifically for the camps we will be running through the Howard County Recreation & Parks department. We provide all the materials, as well as a paid training on all the content. All you need to do is bring your eagerness to learn, and we give you all the tools you need to deliver an amazing summer for our campers.

Position

Base pay of $525/week

Bonus pay for certified teachers

Additional pay for before and/or after care, weekly equipment exchange, and more
