Have a BLAST while getting paid to play and have fun! Our classes give children access to REAL science through the building and flying of rockets, demonstrating lasers, exploring the states of matter using dry ice, creating slime, and so much MORE!

You will lead students through an inquiry-based discovery method involving instructor demonstrations, hands-on activities, and amazing take-home projects that illustrate how science affects the world around us. Mad Science is the world's leading provider of fun science programs for children.

You do NOT need to be a certified teacher, nor do you need to be a science major. (If you are, this opportunity is an excellent addition to your resume.) We will train you in the curriculum, provide all materials, and demonstrate strategies for managing your classes.

Mad Science classes follow the school calendar and are presented year round. This is part-time and rewarding work if it fits with your schedule and lifestyle.

    Responsibilities

Facilitate 60-90 minute high-energy, part entertainment, part education, hands-on after-school science enrichment classes using our already created curriculum (Each program is a weekly commitment lasting 8-10 weeks)

Availability on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4-6 in Durham

    Use of a reliable car

Ability to perform duties with little to no supervision

If you have a love for older kids and science, an energetic personality, and meet all of the requirements.... We're eagerly awaiting your application!
