An opportunity exists for a STAFF ACCOUNTANT to join Madison Core Laboratories. This is a full-time benefited position located at our office in Huntsville, AL.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
General Accounting Duties
- Prepares journal entries, account and bank reconciliations and related reports
- Monthly reconciliation and booking entries for credit card transactions
- Assist with month-end close, financial statements, and annual tax preparation
- Works with the Controller to review work outputs on regular basis
Payroll
- Process payroll and timesheets, wage garnishments, and periodic payroll reports
- Manage employee reimbursements,
Purchase Order and Accounts Payable
- Process purchase order requisitions and track inventory receipt
- Manage accounts payable including invoice coding and payment posting
- Work with vendors to resolve account issues and contract pricing
REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Associates Degree in accounting or related field preferred
- 2 to 3 years of bookkeeping and/or payroll processing experience
- Proficiency with Oracle Netsuite and ADP Payroll Workforce Now software is preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Excel; Adobe Acrobat)
- Experience with Microsoft SharePoint preferred
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Attention to detail and organizational skills
JOB TYPE: Monday thru Friday from 8am to 5pm.
COMPENSATION:
- $15.00-$22.00 per hour. For Full-Time Employees: Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance, PTO, 401K, Direct Deposit, bonus is possible, opportunities for advancement are available.
