    POSITION SUMMARY

    This position is responsible for production machine repair on die cast machines, CNCs, and facility support equipment to include air compressor, process water and cooling towers. In addition, rebuild and perform installation of production equipment as required.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    • Diagnose electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical problems and take corrective action.

    • Perform emergency repairs as needed plant wide.

    • Rebuild equipment as required.

    • Read and interpret schematics and blueprints (Electrical & Hydraulics)

    • Troubleshoot PLC interface operation. Diagnose complex PLC problems and take corrective action

    • Diagnose complex process problems and correct.

    • Train and work with Machine Maintenance Technicians

    • Install new equipment, rebuild, or modify existing equipment.

    • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment

    • Other job-related duties as assigned.

    WORKING CONDITIONS

    Heavy Manufacturing Environment with exposure to noise, excessive heat and cold, dirt, grease, smoke, dust, and molten metal. Working aloft, bending, and awkward positions.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS

    Physical exertion required with occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds. Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and occasionally bend and move about the facility.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Technical school diploma in related field AND at least one (1) year maintenance experience or High School Diploma with at least 5 years maintenance experience.
    • Ability to work unsupervised or to supervise small groups.
    • Strong knowledge of TPM activities.
    • Familiarity with work order systems (ERP).
    • Excellent communication skills.
    • Excellent attention to detail.
