POSITION SUMMARY

There is also a pay for knowledge component associated with the foundry. Upon completion of each learning module a $.60 pay increase is earned. It's reasonable to assume that new hires should successfully complete the 1st of 4 learning module in their 1st 90 days.

Deliver aluminum to the casting floor at temperature, in specification, on time, and safely 100% of the time. Clean and dross melting and holding furnaces. Operate and maintain all related equipment in accordance to training and established procedures.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent. 
• Basic reading and math skills required. 
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in comprehensive English. 
• Electrical, mechanical, problem solving, and computer skills preferred. 
• Must be able to pass the MKC forklift and crane certification. 
• Demonstrate group participation in a self-starting, self-motivated, self-directed work team.

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Heavy manufacturing environment. 
• Exposure to noise, excessive heat and cold, dirt, grease, smoke, dust, and molten metal 
• Working aloft, bending, and awkward positions
