    WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

    We are looking for a dedicated Pharmacy Advocacy Navigator to establish and maintain relationships with customers by taking personal and complete responsibility for each customer interaction to ensure that all customer needs are met completely, promptly, and professionally. As a Pharmacy Advocate, you are a primary internal representative for our organization; you must convey to the customer a sense of expertise in our services. This position requires tact, empathy, and professionalism.

    The Pharmacy Advocacy Navigator works closely with the patient, provider and alternate sourcing or funding vendors and will be the point of contact to walk customers through the process of securing their medications on an ongoing basis.

    • Serve as the primary contact point, advocate, and informational resource for patients, care team, family/caregiver(s), manufacturers, and foundations.
    • Assist patients with gathering required documentation for alternate sourcing.
    • Facilitate and manage the process of securing medications through alternate sourcing or funding and track status, while providing patient awareness of where they are in the medication procurement process.
    • Work closely with the member, providers, and drug manufacturers through the alternate sourcing process, gathering patient and healthcare provider requirements and coordinating delivery of medications and refills.  
    • Support the patient in managing their medication procurement and refills, as needed with appropriate procurement channel.
    • Assist with data collection and generation of patient inquiries.
    • Demonstrate excellence in both internal and external customer service.
    • Contribute innovative ideas to enhance and create internal programs that are in alignment with healthcare industry standards and needs.

    WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE:

    • Ability to have empathy and communicate with diverse population groups
    • Ability to build and maintain professional working relationships with members and providers/ healthcare staff
    • Prior experience with managing competing priorities and effective time management
    • Demonstrate excellence in both internal and external customer service
    • Understand and effectively communicate HIPAA compliance, corporate compliance, and client confidentiality

    WHAT YOU NEED:

    • An Associate Degree in medical office assisting, CNA, medical assistant, Certified Pharmacy Technician, or equivalent work experience/education in a healthcare setting is required
    • 2 years in a call center setting or 1+ years Pharmacy experience preferred
    • Demonstrated ability to adapt and learn new skills, tools, and technology
    • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
    • Detail oriented
    • Ability to work under difficult circumstances with a wide variety of individuals
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Team-player who can also work individually
    • Able to take and follow through with delegated tasks and accountability
    • Resourcefulness in problem solving
    • Proven organizational skills
    • Beginner to intermediate proficiency in Adobe Pro
    • Beginner to intermediate proficiency in Microsoft applications: Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint
    • Ability to demonstrate excellent customer service and strong cultural competency
    • Ability to adhere to strict confidentiality guidelines
