    Job Description

    Maglev is looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, and collaborative intern with a drive to learn. These will work under the direction of a lead engineer to develop and implement project deliverables. Project sizes will vary and will consist primarily of mechanical, electrical, and aeronautical engineering projects.

    Responsibilities 

    • Ability to access, research, read, parse and analyze relevant data supplied by various engineers in a multidisciplinary environment

    • Ability to develop project documents (e.g., calculations, reports,  drawings and specifications, etc.) for internal use

    • Assist with development of conceptual designs and coordinate with the design team under direction of the project team lead

    • Coordinate with other disciplines and other internal and external team members (e.g., vendors, clients, and contractors)

    • Responsible for completing assigned technical tasks in the engineering process

    • Document  test activities and evaluate  that data to draw a conclusion with respect to specifications

    • Perform engineering studies and testing

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

     

    • Recent Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, or Computer Science, , or rising junior or senior 

    • Experience with MATLAB and CAD

    • Experience with Microsoft Office

    • Strong presentation and analytical skills 

    • Highly motivated, dynamic and detail-oriented

    • Strong multi-tasking,  interpersonal, communication and organizational skills

    Additional Information

    Our Lab operates within Mass Robotics in the Seaport district of Boston.  This internship is on-site for at least three months, starting in the Fall 2022. Remote work will not be considered.
