Job Description

We are currently seeking a motivated product management intern to join the Magnaflux product management department (Glenview, IL) for the summer of 2022. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams (primarily R&D, engineering, marketing, and sales) to support the product life cycle of the equipment, chemicals, and accessories business.

This internship will provide exposure to project management, competitive analysis, sales support, and  new product development.  An ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills and a desire to translate data into actionable business initiatives.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Analyze sales and market data to facilitate business decisions for both existing and new product concepts- opportunities for product line simplification, identifying portfolio gaps, and/or launching new products.
• Perform competitive analysis through market research, collection of “voice of customer”, and engagement with the sales & channel teams.
• Assist cross functional team with the ITW innovation framework and applicable product launches.
• Document requirements for new products and improvements to existing products based on customer needs.
• Opportunities to perform product training and communicate with a wide range of stakeholders including engineering, sales, marketing, production, and customer service.
• Additional duties and tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• Rising college senior pursing a B.S. in engineering, finance, business or other relevant field
• GPA of 3.0 or above
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel including creation and use of pivot tables for data analysis
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Intellectual curiosity with desire to learn and grow
• Self-motivated to work independently and as part of a team to manage multiple priorities
