Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to join our team! As a Maintenance Supervisor, you will be directly supporting the maintenance department in their daily operations. The ideal candidate has experience working in a manufacturing environment, experience managing a team, and excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities
Examines buildings on a regular basis for needed repairs and maintenance.
Establishes and recommends priorities on repair projects.
Estimates cost of repair projects in terms of labor and materials.
Develops a system for dealing with emergency repair problems with the efficiency.
Prepares reports on costs of work done, materials used, and labors expenses.
Orders materials as needed, and makes recommendations of supplies and equipment for purchase to the administrator.
Consult with building principals regarding the establishment of regular preventative maintenance programs.
Maintains such personnel and other records as are required.
Provide necessary training for staffs, for example training staff on emergency preparedness.
Advises the administrator on hiring of contractors to perform certain maintenance or repairs services.
Maintains an inventory of supplies and equipment.
Strides constantly to promote the safety, health, and comfort of the residents and employees.
Attend regular meetings of the as required by the Administrator.
Do all minor maintenance for all buildings.
Maintain all outside grounds, including mowing and snow removal.
Oversee vans, tractor, snow blower, lawn mowers/trimmers, and equipment used for cleaning/buffing.
Coordinate the special events custodial services.
Oversee PA system, Fire alarm System, underground sprinkler system, and lights.
Conducts emergency drills.
Be familiar with state relevant regulations about Senior Living Facility.
Perform such other duties as may from time to time assigned by the Administrator.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a management role, ideally in a manufacturing environment, desired
Strong communication skills
Excellent attention to detail
The ability to perform maintenance operations
Familiarity with computer programs, such as the Microsoft Office suite
