Communication Writer
- Location: Brooklyn, NY
- Salary $60-75K
We are looking for a professional writer to create communication with clients that adhere to our company's style guidelines with a consistent voice that is friendly and easy to understand. You will be working closely with each department to ensure that communication with clients has the same feel and style across all departments. As a Writer, you will write accurate, engaging, user-friendly pieces including macros, articles, newsletters, internal company wide communication pieces, materials used for social media and the like.
Responsibilities
- Acquire and maintain a detailed knowledge of the company’s policies, principles, and strategies, and keep up to date with relevant developments
- Develop effective corporate communication strategies
- Manage internal communications (memos, newsletters etc.)
- Draft content (e.g. press releases) for mass media or company website
- Adhere to the company’s style guide, ensuring that we produce a high-quality and error-free copy
- Assist in communication of strategies or messages from senior leadership
- Work with key internal team members to brainstorm content ideas, in line with the company’s strategy and in support of various brand initiatives
- Support and evaluate results of communication campaigns with the team.
- Proposing copy concepts in an engaging way for clients and carrying out projects once they are approved
- Organizational skills to manage several projects at a time, while successfully coordinating meetings and deadlines
- Speaking skills for speaking on behalf of a company, as well as the ability to maintain key company messaging in all verbal interactions
- Write, format, edit, review and proof all documents relating to the company
- Assist in planning, scheduling, and tracking documentation work to meet product release dates and client deliverables.
- Maintain a library of application documents, cataloging it for future internal use
Requirements: - 3+ years of expert communication writing experience
- Must have minimum of 2 years managerial experience
- Strong written, proofreading and verbal communications and experience working with content in multiple mediums
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects in a fast-paced, changing environment
- A positive attitude, willing to jump in and tackle new challenges
- Experience in creating documentation for audiences with different levels of technical skill.

- Highly organized
- Experience in prioritizing and understanding the lifecycle of documentation from pre-release through on-going maintenance
