Dynamic real estate development company specializing in ground-up construction projects, primarily focused on multifamily properties in Florida is looking for a COO.
As the Chief Operating Officer (COO), you will play a pivotal role in overseeing all operational aspects of our real estate development office. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will lead and manage various departments, ensuring seamless coordination and execution of our projects. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in operations or COO roles within ground-up multifamily or industrial development, with a proven track record of managing multiple large-scale projects simultaneously.
Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership and direction to all departments within the organization, including but not limited to development, construction, finance, and marketing.
- Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of ground-up construction projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Collaborate closely with creative entrepreneurs to understand their vision and translate it into actionable plans and strategies.
- Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and systems to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability among team members, promoting a high-performance work environment.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, lenders, contractors, and regulatory authorities.
Requirements:
- Experience in operations or COO roles within the real estate development industry, with a focus on ground-up multifamily or industrial projects.
- Proven track record of successfully managing multiple large-scale projects simultaneously, preferably in the $100M range.
- Experience working with creative entrepreneurs and executing on their vision.
- Strong leadership abilities with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
- Out-of-state experience in real estate development is a plus.
