    About the Role

    WalkerHughes Insurance is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Mail Processing Clerk to manage the daily flow of incoming and outgoing mail. This role plays an important part in ensuring documents and correspondence are processed, scanned, and routed accurately so departments receive timely access to important information. The ideal candidate is organized, consistent, and comfortable handling administrative tasks in a fast-paced environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    Mail Processing & Distribution

    • Open, date stamp, and sort incoming mail and deliveries

    • Scan correspondence and documents into the company's document management system

    • Route scanned documents to the appropriate departments or personnel

    • Prepare outgoing mail, including envelopes, postage, and courier shipments

    Document Management

    • Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems

    • Ensure accurate document naming, indexing, and storage

    • Assist with file cleanup, archiving, and document organization projects

    • Ensure confidential information is handled securely and appropriately

    Administrative Support

    • Monitor mailroom supplies and scanning equipment and report issues

    • Support administrative tasks related to document management and office operations

    Qualifications

    • High school diploma or equivalent required

    • Previous administrative, clerical, or mailroom experience preferred

    • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

    • Basic computer skills including scanning, file management, and email

    • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

    • Self-motivated and able to manage routine daily responsibilities independently

    Schedule

    • Part-time position, approximately 30 hours per week

    • Typically scheduled during standard business hours to support daily mail processing
