    Job Description

    WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

    • Sort claims according to type, scan and create electronic files and upload for the EDI vendor to receive.
    • Sort incoming appeals and upload to the Vendor for entry.
    • Responsible for outgoing mail for letter distribution to providers and members.
    • Create overnight mail requests.
    • Sort mail for appropriate staff and send to them via scan or e-mail.
    • Maintain a 2-day turnaround time on incoming mail.
    • Scan incoming checks to a folder for the auditing department to work. Deliver the real checks to finance when in the office.
    • Print and fold mailings for other Departments.
  • Qualifications

    WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE

    • Have an intermediate understanding of computer applications and systems.
    • Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft programs experience, primarily Excel and Word programs.
    • Minimum of 1 year experience in an administrative assistant or mailroom activity type role.
    • Must have experience with medical insurance claim forms.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment and meet/exceed goals as assigned.
    • Must be organized, self-motivated, detail oriented, disciplined and a team player.

    WOULD LOVE FOR YOU HAVE

    • Prior experience in a high-paced health insurance mailroom.

    Note: This is an onsite position based out of our Rockford, IL office.

    Additional Information

    The salary range for this role is $18.75 per hour.

    COMPENSATION:

    The listed compensation range listed is paid bi-weekly per our standard payroll practices. Final base pay decisions are dependent upon a variety of factors which may include, but are not limited to: skill set, years of relevant experience, education, location, and licensure/certifications.

    This position is responsible for following all Security policies and procedures in order to protect all PHI and PII under Guidehealth’s custodianship as well as Guidehealth Intellectual Properties. For any security-specific roles, the responsibilities would be further defined by the hiring manager.

    REMOTE WORK TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

    Guidehealth is a fully remote company. We provide new employees with the necessary equipment to function in their role at no charge to the employee. Employees provide their own internet connection, capable of conducting video calls on camera and connecting to various internal and external systems. The required internet speed is a minimum of 50 mbps download, 10 mbps upload. Please consult with your internet provider or run a speed test here to confirm your internet connection meets these requirements.
